Who are these button pushers?

When someone pushes our buttons and we 'lose it' we can find ourselves doing and saying things we might regret. If we stay in the moment with the anger we can make it worse... but if we do something different in that moment such as step outside, go for a walk, make a cup of tea or just simply breathe ... then very quickly the anger will subside. Then we have control. Then we can choose how best to respond to the button pusher. Don't react. Respond. The anger cannot last unless we permit it and when we are calm our Mind is clearer which gives us clarity and control in that tricky situation.

In this way we are also being kind to ourself.
